About The Pastor

Pastor Harold McPherson and his family became members of Calvary Revival Church
(Norfolk, Va) in 1991, where Bishop B. Courtney McBath is the senior founding Pastor.

After serving in several ministries, Pastor McPherson began serving as the Executive Pastor of Calvary Revival Church Norfolk in 2001. He continued to serve in this capacity until the Lord called him to become the senior pastor of a new church, Calvary Revival Church Suffolk.

On April 2, 2006, Calvary Revival Church Suffolk had its first service at the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk! What a tremendous service! Several hundred people were in attendance. For the next eighteen (18) months, we continued to meet in various hotels in the area.

On October 15, 2007, we moved into our current worship facility after a miracle of renovation
– in just ninety (90) days! The Lord transformed a dilapidated warehouse into a beautiful sanctuary!

On November 1, 2009, our name changed from Calvary Revival Church Suffolk to Covenant Community Church. This positive change serves to clarify and identify us as a unique, distinct church reaching the community around us as a community of covenant believers!

Pastor McPherson was born in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Bishop David and Iris Lee McPherson. He is the grandson of the late Bishop A.D. Williams. He and his wonderful wife,
Lady Brenda McPherson currently reside in Suffolk, Virginia. They were high school sweethearts,
now married for over thirty (30) years. They are the proud parents of three adult children,
Tiffany, Preston and Paul, along with five grandchildren.

Accountability

Every believer needs to be a part of a local assembly, every local church needs oversight of a mature body of seasoned church leaders and every pastor needs to have a pastor. In line with this understanding, the following accountability structure services Covenant Community Church:

Covenant Community Church is a member and is accountable to Calvary Alliance of Churches and Ministries founded by Bishop B. Courtney McBath (Senior Founding Pastor of Calvary Revival Church, Norfolk, Virginia)

Bishop McBath serves as Pastor McPherson's pastor and overseer.

Pastor McPherson was ordained as a pastor under Calvary Alliance of Churches and Ministries.
